Zinky Base is a 2 bedroom open plan house less than 12 months old. It can sleep 5 - 7 guests comfortably making it a wonderfull location, and house for a family or couple (or two).
Easy and quick access to some of New Zealand's best sking at either Whakapapa or Turoa Skifield, one hour drive to Taupo or 30 minutes to Turangi for excellent lake and/or river fishing. The area offers great mountain bike tracks, white water rafting, horse riding, scenic flights over an active volcano, thermal hot pools and a host of other activities.
National Park Village is on the edge of the Tongariro National Park World Heritage Area. There are a host of great walks within the park, from easy 20 minute strolls to 3 and 5 day tramps including the renowned 1 day walk - The Tongariro Crossing.
Zinky Base is fully self contained (excluding linen and towels - however these can be arranged at a small additional cost). It has a log fire, carport, CD/stereo, DVD, TV, childrens and adult games. Easy walking distance to the cafe, shop and pub.
