New Zealand Passport And Visa Requirements
All international visitors to New Zealand must hold a current passport that is
valid for at least 3 months longer than their intended visit. Visitors from
certain countries are able to enter New Zealand without a visa but must hold an
onward ticket & have sufficient money to support themselves during their
stay. Visitors that are Australian citizens, or with an Australian returning
residents visa, do not require a visa to enter New Zealand. British citizens do
not need a visa for stays up to 6 months. Visitors from countries with which
New Zealand has a visa waiver agreement do not need a visa provided their
length of stay does not exceed 3 months.
Visitors who wish to work in New Zealand must obtain a work permit, which
requires an offer of employment. Reciprocal working holiday agreements with a
number of countries allow people aged 18 to 30 to gain work permits without a
prior job offer.
